The centre is managed on a daily basis by a full-time co-ordinator.
Also, a Committee of seven or eight parents over sees the running
of the Family Club Co-operative. The Committee meets the first week
of each month to discuss the issues, finances and general management
of the centre. The Committee members are elected at the Annual General
Meeting, which is held in June. Members are elected to the Committee
for a term of two years (which can be extended).
Basically
a Co-operative can only run at its best when its members become involved.
- Parent Committee
A parent committee manages the crèche. The committee
meets monthly and all parents are welcome to attend the meetings.
The committee is elected by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting.
All Co-operative members are expected to participate in a listed Committee
or pay a fee (see questionnaire).
