OUR PHILOSOPHY..

The Melbourne University Family Club first established a crèche in North Carlton in 1965. The family Club incorporated as a Co-operative in 1968 and moved into the current buildings in June 1971. Its primary purpose is to provide high quality child-care so that parents in the University and local community can combine career and family life.

Our aim is to provide a loving child-care environment of a very high standard, based on programmes covering all areas of child development. The crèche programmes are organised on the basis of full day care in age based groups, which enables us to provide a full range of appropriate indoor and outdoor pre-school activities. Our philosophy is to provide a structured, yet unregimented environment in which children may develop their individuality.
